Essential oils for the face against wrinkles, used for lifting

use of essential oils

Our body changes throughout life: cells die and are regenerated. But with each decade they get worse and worse. After age 30, a person begins to lose 1–2% of muscle mass per year, even if they lead an active lifestyle. All the tissues of the body are damaged, so signs of aging appear on the skin. We call it aging and we know it cannot be stopped.

External signs of aging appear around the age of 25

Why are signs of aging visible on the skin:

  • the fat layer is reduced;
  • bone mass decreases;
  • connective tissue is destroyed.

Metabolism slows down in connective tissue. The building blocks of our body are produced less and less: proteins (collagen and elastin) and polysaccharides (glycosaminoglycans). Roughly speaking, the aging process involves the gradual loss of these elements. What can we do? Just try to slow down aging. Often even improving the condition of the skin, renewing it with the help of competent care.

How do essential oils for the face work against wrinkles?

In plants, essential oils are involved in metabolic processes. The main components of esters - terpenoid and aromatic compounds - enter very quickly and actively into various chemical reactions inside cells. Active chemical reactions also occur when ether comes into contact with human skin. Phenol, aldehyde, organic acid and alcohol in ether cause skin irritation and blood flows faster where it comes into contact with them. Thanks to this effect, compresses and applications with oil work. The higher the oil concentration and the longer the exposure, the more active the skin's reaction.

Essential oils do not contain vitamins. The vitamin is either retained in water or in fat; there is no fat or water in the ester.

Using face oil for wrinkles

When we need to treat fine lines and wrinkles, the options seem endless. Should you choose a cream or a light anti-aging moisturizer? What about vitamin C serum or acid gel?

Essential oils cannot get rid of wrinkles, but they can help minimize them.

They can also:

  • accelerate collagen production
  • improve skin tone
  • even out complexion
  • reduce swelling
  • increase epithelial cell turnover
  • protect the skin from the environment

Which face oil to choose for wrinkles instead of cream?

One of the most valuable components of skin oils is lipids (fats). They glue the horn cells (scales) together and form a protective barrier that retains moisture. Also protects against the entry of harmful microorganisms.

By applying it to the skin in its pure form, it seems to us that we are strengthening this protective barrier and the skin is saturated with moisture.

But the problem is that not a single vegetable oil contains a lipid ratio suitable for our skin. When it is applied to the face, we immediately feel hydration and comfort because it smoothes the corneal scales and softens. It also creates a film that retains moisture on the surface.

skin lipid barrier

If we continue to apply it regularly, it will begin to penetrate deeper into the skin layer and destroy our own lipids. Their ratio will begin to change, which will lead to the destruction of the lipid barrier. The skin becomes even drier and flaky.

Therefore, to strengthen the lipid layer, it will be much more beneficial to consume fat internally.

But there is also good news. Due to their moisturizing and emollient properties, vegetable oils are perfect for working with wrinkles, if you approach it wisely.

how to use essential oils

In combination with other components, they have a beneficial effect on the skin and smooth out fine wrinkles. Therefore, it is even recommended to use them in various mask recipes.

But so that the skin doesn't get used to it, you have to constantly change the recipes. But more about it below. For the above reasons, it is not recommended to use it regularly in its pure form, so replacing it with daily care instead of a cream will not work, as it can cause a lot of damage.

skin protective barrier

For wrinkles, for the purpose of extra moisturizing and emollient, it is only used in pure form in emergencies for 1-2 weeks. This must be done by following the following rules:

  • Before applying, the face should be wet;
  • number of drops depending on your skin type: dry 3-4 drops, normal 2-3, oily 1-2;
  • after 15-20 minutes, wipe the cover with a napkin and thus remove the excess;
  • after use, be sure to use a moisturizer;
  • Apply oil to the area around the eyes two hours before going to bed to avoid excessive swelling.

An effective and safer alternative to using wrinkle oil is to add a small amount of drops to various masks, the recipes for which are given below. In combination with other components for 20-30 minutes, such combinations will only bring benefits, provided that it is chosen correctly (more on this later).

Anti-aging can be done 2-3 times a week. At the same time, to prevent the skin from getting used to it, it is recommended to change the composition of the masks once a month.

How to apply oil on the face the right way: 3 ways

It can be applied in three ways:

In pure form as whey (occasionally)

Before use, it must be heated to a warm state as it is more effective when warm. To do this, just hold a few drops (dry 3-4 drops, normal 2-3, oily 1-2) in a warm palm for a few seconds and can be applied with your fingers with a tapping motion, always on cleansed and moisturized skin. Leave for 15-20 minutes, then wipe with a tissue to remove any residue. Be sure to apply moisturizer.

But remember that this method should only be used in an emergency for 1-2 weeks.

Tightens under the eyes

Heat some oil until it is hot by immersing the bottle in warm water. Then wet two cotton pads and apply to the area under the eyes. Leave for 15 minutes, then dry with a napkin.

This should be done no later than two hours before bedtime and also for 1-2 weeks.
